12 Days of Vegan Holiday Recipes

Our favorite thing about the holidays … FOOD of course!  The one snag is that often a lot of the holiday classics aren’t vegan.  But no worries.  We’ve got a dozen days worth of our favorite 100% plant-based recipes to help you enjoy a cruelty-free holiday with your loved ones.

1. Vegan Mac and Cheese
What holiday season would be complete without Mac and Cheese.  We love the bread crumbs on this version from Alison Andrews

2. Vegan Matzo Ball Soup
A Chanukah must.  But the chicken stock is not a must in our house.

3. Easy Vegan Sweet Potato Kugel
This tasty version of Kugel is made without eggs and with sweet potatoes making it cholesterol free and packed with more nutrients.

4. Creamy Cauliflower Soup
You need warm creamy soups to keep you warm during the holiday season, and this one in particular does this trick.  Sans cream of course.

5. Holiday Appetizer Board
Entertaining means cocktails and apps.  All will be happily entertained and nourished with this holiday appetizer board from Kris Carr.

6. Wild Rice Salad
Wild Rice is the rice of the holiday season if you ask us.  This salad from Post Punk Kitchen is perfectly balanced with oranges and beets and a sesame vinaigrette.

7. Gingerbread Men
Also from Post Punk Kitchen these Gingerbread Men (or women) … (or people) … are just too cute not to make.

8. Vegan Gingerbread Cake
You can’t have enough gingerbread for the holidays, so why not a vegan cake too.  It’s also great if you have any left over with your morning coffee. Gena Hamshaw of the Full Helping crushed it with this one.

9. Vegan &  Gluten Free Thumbprint Cookies
Fun to make and even better to eat.  These thumbprint cookies from Angela Liddon of Oh She Glows are not only vegan and delicious, but they’re Gluten-Free too.

10. Sweet and Spicy Nuts
Whether you need to make a snack/app or a gift for friends and family these nuts rock!

11. Chocolate Bark
Chocolate bark. Enough said.

12. Eggless Nog
Whether you add the rum or bourbon or not, you need some nog for the holiday.  And with the recipe from Post Punk Kitchen yours can be eggless.

May you have the most wonderful plant-based holiday season.  And keep cool.
